Born in Clearwater, Florida and now live in Atlanta, Georgia. Graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Computer Science, I am a software architect / engineer with a passion for learning new technology.
In 1990 I married my soul mate, Karen. She has always encouraged me to pursue my dreams and she is the reason I'm playing today. Karen was there when the squeaks became sounds and the sounds became songs. Without her, there would be no music in my life.
I am also a Christian and believe that no mountain is too high. I embrace the challenges that are in front of us today and know that with God's divine guidance, I cannot fail.
I have been an avid jazz fan for many years and I finally decided it was time to purchase a saxophone and pursue my dream of becoming a player myself. I started "playing" the saxophone in December 2001 and decided to document the things I was learning both on paper and by recording what I was playing. I tried to record everything I played so that I'd be able to review my progress as the years went by. After about a year, I created a website where I could post some of the things I was learning including some of my recorded lessons. I called the site Jazz-O-Matic.com and much to my surprise, I received some emails from people who found the things I posted helpful. I was inspired!
From that point, I knew that there were probably lots of people who would benefit from a site that would allow people to share their ideas and playing techniques through the use of audio lessons and exercises. The rest is history.
I sincerely appreciate all of your support and site participation. As I've said, without you, there would be no community. Thanks for visiting and please feel free to contact me anytime.
